What is Africa Alive?
The safari experience at Africa Alive near Lowestoft offers you the amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Africa's iconic animals, as well as lesser-known animals from the continent. The park boasts several of Africa's largest mammal species, ranging from giraffes to rhinos and from zebras to buffalo. However, smaller mammals are present too: including, but not limited to the porcupine, meerkat, fennec fox, mongoose and several bat species. Africa Alive information
.. being in Madagascar when they view one of many lemur species on display. The park is most famous for its big cats: African lions and cheetahs. Additionally, the park has reptiles as diverse as pythons, tortoises and geckos, and birds are featured, too. Visitors can roam the 100-acre coastal parkland on foot or on the Safari Roadtrain and share the air with the animals. But for the most immersive experience, visitors can prearrange a day trip where they get to be keeper for a day! For an additional fee, visitors tag along with professional keepers and get to feed lions, cheetahs or aardvarks.
