What is Birdworld?

With over 160 species of birds, Birdworld in Farnham, Surrey is one of the largest bird parks in the country. The 26-acre park features spectacular birds from all over the world to keep you occupied all day. Whether you fancy the tiny Australian finches or you prefer the huge ostrich from the African plains; whether you like the tropical cockatoo or the snowy owl: Birdworld has them on display for you, and much more. Some of these birds are incredibly rare, as they are threatened in the wild. Therefore, the park participates in breeding programmes to help conserve the biodiversity for future generations. The park's look and feel change in accordance with the seasons, and the gardens are constantly being rearranged by the park's gardeners to offer new sights every time. Furthermore, there are several themed aviaries, both indoor and outdoor, including a walkthrough sea shore aviary, featuring nesting waders and other coastal species. Besides birds, the park boasts a petting zoo with sheep, goats and chickens, and an adjoining pet shop with rabbits, guinea pigs and mice. Furthermore, there is an Underwater World display with tropical fish, caimans and turtles. Finally, the park has a restaurant, various food stalls and a gift shop for visitors to enjoy.
