Glasgow Museum Of Transport

All aboard, next stop is the Glasgow Museum Of Transport; a great destination for everything you'd want to know about transport history. Climb aboard a vintage locomotive, tram, a subway car, train carriage or a bus. You can almost feel what it was like to ride on one of these. One of the fascinating exhibits is a South African locomotive; can you tell how it differs from the familiar British ones?. See some great vintage cars that have been spray painted or take a look at one of the first bicycles. Three streets, complete with traffic and shops, have been recreated here, to illustrate life in different time periods: step into 1895, 1930 or the 1980s, and get an elaborate audiovisual hint of Glasgow's past. There's a lot to do here and you'll have plenty to admire: well-maintained classic cars, motercycles, buses, lorries and much more. There are vehicles from different eras, can you spot the evolution from generation to generation? Are modern cars superior to classics or would you rather drive one of those vintage cars on display? Children can entertain themselves for days on end, too! Every weekend there are different adventure trails and activities, designed with families in mind.
